Texas de Brazil steakhouse chain opens its 50th restaurant

Texas de Brazil Churrascaria, the largest Brazilian steakhouse chain in the world, reaches a new milestone this month (March 2017) as the family-owned group opened its 50th restaurant at Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise, Florida.  The new 7,000 square foot dining destination accommodates over 200 guests and features an open-view grill in the dining area, a wine wall, and a cozy lounge area. Located in the largest outlet and value retail shopping destination in the United States, this marks the ninth Florida location for Texas de Brazil.

“We feel fortunate and very proud to open our 50th restaurant with the same leadership team responsible for opening our first location over 18 years ago,” says Salim Asrawi, Chief Operating Officer, Texas de Brazil.  “We look forward to complementing this location’s dynamic retail and entertainment environment with earnest hospitality and the culinary authenticity we strive to deliver to every guest we welcome.”

Texas de Brazil Churrascaria features incredible meats grilled over an open fire, an extravagant salad area with over 50 items made fresh daily, and an award-winning wine list.

Texas de Brazil treats guests to an upscale, continuous dining experience and a service style that is alive and theatrical.  Dinner begins at the enticing 50-item salad area featuring Brazilian specialties, fresh salads, imported cheeses, charcuterie, roasted vegetables, smoked salmon and creamy lobster bisque.  Renowned for its genuine rodizio-style dining, patrons are also treated to freshly-grilled meats carved tableside from skewers by “gauchos” who deliver succulent lamb chops, leg of lamb, picanha, filet mignon, chicken breasts wrapped in bacon, Brazilian sausages and more.  Diners pace their feasting with a simple green or red disk that indicates when they’re ready to welcome additional servings.  Every Texas de Brazil restaurant uses the time-honored method of grilling meat over charcoal, resulting in savory aroma and exceptional flavor. Tempting desserts are served a la carte for those seeking sweets.

An extensive wine wall houses private label wines bottled exclusively for Texas de Brazil by Santa Rita Vineyards in Chile, and an award-winning collection including DUAO Vineyards wine from Pasos Robles, California. Beijos Bar and Lounge offers signature cocktails including the Brazilian favorite, the Caipirinha, plus an array of premium spirits and specialty cocktails.  Happy Hour specials are featured Monday through Friday.

Texas de Brazuk story begins in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Living the cattle rancher’s life and feasting in the traditional rodizio style native to this region, one of the partners had visions of bringing this culture north to the United States. The unique concept offers diners a parade of meats and an extravagant seasonal salad area. After years of hoping and dreaming, this rodizio vision became a reality. The destination of choice was no other than the cattleman’s land … Texas.

Settling in Texas, it was apt that this unique style brought from Brazil be combined with the hospitality that is indigenous to the lone star state. Combining the culture and feast of Brazil with the service and class of the states, Texas de Brazil Brazilian Steakhouse emerged. Texas de Brazil is family owned and operated and continues to expand both domestically and internationally to bring the Brazilian Steakhouse dining experience to new and exciting geographical locations.
