The administrator of the Federal Administration of Public Tickets of Argentina (AFIP), Alberto Abad, and the Brazilian Federal Revenue Secretary, Jorge Rachid, signed an automatic tax information exchange agreement that will allow identification  of goods taxpayers of each nation have in the other.

The novelty of the agreement, signed at the headquarters of AFIP, is the forecast of exchange of information from fiscal periods prior to the current year. In addition to ownership of assets, the information to be exchanged includes dividends, interest, royalties, services and income.

The exchange of information will be carried out in accordance with the OECD Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters, which aims to combat tax evasion and tax avoidance at the international level, both bilaterally and multilaterally.
