Brasília old stager journalist Gilberto Amaral published in his daily column on Wednesday (April 12) two related notes, under the titles ‘Brazil in Kazakhstan’ and ‘Temer in China’, that brazilmonitor.com reproduces:

Brazil in Kazakhstan

“Take note: Placed halfway between China and Europe, Kazakhstan will be continental Asia’s third largest power in the 21st century. The Brazilian government officially confirmed its participation in Expo 2017 (to be held between June and September). The event will take place in Astana, the capital of the country, and a planned city, like Brasilia. But the last minute, the Ministry of Mines and Energy said that Brazil will not do so, after signing contracts.

Temer in China

“In fact, even with a symbolic participation, Brazil should be present at this important event, which  interests to the Brazilian energy industry. There is even a pending invitation to President Temer to visit Kazakhstan,  that could be made on the way to his visit to China on September 10. If he accepts, the day of the visit will be declared Brazil Day at Expo 2017.”
