Farmers unite against JBS in Mato Grosso State

The company owns half of the state's frigorifics

JBS the world’s largest meatpacker is already beginning to face other problems due to the political crisis triggered by accusations made by its Executive against President Temer.

Bothered by the company’s hegemony in Mato Grosso, which holds 50 percent of the slaughterhouses in the state, a group of middle and small-scale cattle ranchers requested a meeting with the vice governor Carlos Fávaro to discuss ways to stop this concentration.

Besides being the state that produces the most cattle in the country, it is also where JBS has the highest performance. The meeting will be held tomorrow in Cuiaba state capital.
