In a presentation to analysts and investors at Petrobras Day in New York, state company CEO Pedro Parente said Monday that the company’s production is economically viable with prices starting at $ 30 a barrel.

In 2014, breakeven (breakeven point) was $ 43 a barrel. The presentation cites that the new level occurs in a time of greater selectivity of the company when looking for new opportunities of exploitation and change in the regulatory environment, with less demand of local content and renewal of the Repetro, special regime of taxation.
