Azul airlines will strenghten its domestic and international operations from Brazil’s Northeast to new international destinations: Rosario and Cordoba in Argentina, and Fort Lauderdale in the U.S.
John Rodgerson, Azul’s CEO, highlighted the company’s growth in Recife (capital of the State of Pernambuco) which already offers half of the departing flights and more than 40% of the seats available from the city’s main airport.
“Our service from Recife continues to grow, allowing us to offer fast and convenient connections to various destinations in Brazil and throughout the world. With the expansion of our Northeast hub we will increase the number of people traveling between Brazil, Argentina and the US, encouraging business and tourism,”
With Azul, Recife is now the fifth most-connected city in Brazil in terms of number of destinations, following only Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte and Brasilia,” he concluded.
