The Workers’ Party seems divied about the alliances it will make to October 2018 elections. Some days ago, PT São Paulo state chairman, Luiz Marinho, defended a rapprochement with the PMDB of President Michel Temer. It is well known that PT and PMDB are already articulated for the gubernatorial elections in eight Brazilian states.

But on Monday (Nov. 6) the party’s national chairwoman, Senator Senator Gleisi Hoffmann, released a text on her social network, in which she advocates forming political alliances exclusively  with leftist parties.
