PSDB says it will leave Temer’s administration. But one of them will continue as a Minister
Famous for its indecision (- in Brazil it is said that it lives on the wall, not knowing which way to go – ), the Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB) once again justifies its fame.
The Party leaders said it will leave the support base of President Michel Temer’s administration. But the decision is not valid for the Foreign Minister Aloysio Nunes (of the PSDB of São Paulo) who has already said that he will not leave his Ministry.
His permanence in Temer’s Cabinet dismantles the logic presented by the main exponent of the PSDB, former President Fernando Henrique Cardoso, who in an interview with journalist Andreia Sadi (G1) said that it is time for all PSDB representatives to disembark from the government, in a way of seeking a party identity for the 2018 elections.
“PSDB wants to have a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic. So you need to have autonomy, face itself. The government is the PMDB, “said Fernando Henrique.
But as Aloysio Nunes has already said he will not leave, the former president had to create an explanation to justify the fact: “It is a state issue. It is not a political-party position.”
