After seven years of unsuccessful negotiations, Brazil and the European Union put an end to talks on a broad-based “open skies” agreement that would remove restrictions on flights allowed to airlines between the two sides of the Atlantic

A letter sent to Brussels by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), which has not yet received a formal response, sets the tone for the new approach: the Brazilian authorities get tired of waiting, believe that the discussions do not go anywhere else and now they will negotiate agreements with each EU partner individually.
