Federal Regional Court of the 4th Region (TRF-4) decided to deny a request made by former minister Jose Dirceu former minister of Lula da Silva, to have their assets unlocked. Officers had decided not to judge the defense’s request in March, but lawyers filed suit, this Wednesday Apr. 18th.

There are four properties valued at more than R $ 11 million that will be auctioned on Apr. 26th by determination of federal judge Sérgio Moro. For the magistrate, property is the result of crimes committed by Dirceu.

Earlier, the ex-minister’s defense went to the Federal Supreme Court (STF) to try to stop his arrest . Like Lula, Dirceu has already been convicted in a second instance and the defense has already used all available resources. The trial of the request will take place this Thursday (19), in the Federal Regional Court of the 4th Region (TRF-4).
