Faced with the imminent opening of the South Korean market for Brazilian pork, the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) promotes the Brazilian export sector during the Seoul Food & Hotel (SFH) 2018 started yesterday in the south Korean capital.
In the lawsuit led by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA), ABPA, with the support of the Brazilian Agency for Export and Investment Promotion (Apex-Brazil) will make the dissemination of information on the export chain of pork and poultry from Brazil .
For this, the representative of the association, Bruna Kassama, will hold contacts with local stakeholders, representatives of importers and others, in addition to distributing materials in Korean, with information on poultry and pig farming in Brazil, and contacts of exporters.
“Fourth world’s largest importer of pork, South Korea is one of the most desired destinations in the international trade sector. There are great expectations on the opening of the market to Brazil. In this scenario, we will intensify our contacts, seeking closer ties with our potential customers, “said Francisco Turra, chief executive of ABPA.
Currently, South Korea is the 12th most important destination of chicken meat exports from Brazil, with the shipment of 88,900 tons in 2017, generating revenue of US $ 167.6 million revenue in the period.
