Yomura is one of those investigated in the new phase of Operation Registry Spurious and will give testimony in Brasilia
The Minister of Labor removed on Thursday from the post, Helton Yomura, arrived shortly before 11am to the Federal Police Superintendence in Brasília to give testimony in the scope of Operation Spurious Register.
Yomura arrived at the place accompanied by a lawyer. He was dismissed by the Supreme Court (STF) Minister Edson Fachin, at the request of the PF and the Attorney General’s Office.
Yomura is a political patron of former deputy Roberto Jefferson and his daughter, Congresswoman Cristiane Brasil – both were the target of the first phases of the Spurious Register.
According to PF, the third phase of the operation, held on July 5, aims to “deepen the investigations into a criminal organization that acts in the fraudulent granting of union records to the Ministry of Labor.”
In the action of this fifth are being fulfilled ten warrants of search and seizure and three of temporary arrest in Brasília and in Rio de Janeiro. Deputy Nelson Marquezelli is also the target of the investigation and had his office in the Federal Chamber inspected by the PF this morning. He denied wrongdoing and said he has no role in the Labor Ministry.
