Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) publicly express their protests with the formalization of the new freight table, through Law No. 13,703, published today in the Official Gazette (DOU).
The ABPA highlights the tabulation causes a severe scenario of legal uncertainty, which impacts the marketing inputs. As a result, there is a strong rise in the transport hidden costs, which will lead to consumer price increases, directly impacting inflation.
National and international competitiveness of the country is at stake right now. The logistics issue, which is already an obstacle to national productive capacity, has become a business retention factor. With the lowest production flow, the cost of the new table may trigger impacts the maintenance of jobs and cause inflation.
For poultry and swine in Brazil, there is a clear misrepresentation of the role that this table should have, it would be strictly reference. All pay a high price for tabulation, are producers, consumers and even carriers.
