By the end of October 2017, bitcoin was moving to the $7,000 mark for the first time. A year later, the cryptocurrency is listed in the same price range.
Different from might seem, bitcoin is not stagnant for a year. Its price reached $20,000 in 2017 — after a 2,000-percent high — fell to $5,800 by mid-2018 and is in the range of $6,000 and $7,000 a few months ago.
Since its historic high, the BTC has accumulated a 68% drop. In 2018, the decline so far is 63%.
Comparing now with the price in Real (R $), on this same date in October last year, bitcoin was traded at R $19,000. Less than two months later, the cryptocurrency came close to $70,000.
