President-elect Jair Bolsonaro (PSL) announced this morning (13), in his Twitter account, the new Defense Minister. The folder will be occupied by Army General Fernando Azevedo e Silva.
Previously, General Augusto Heleno Ribeiro was expected to occupy the Defense. However, General Heleno himself reported last week that he will be responsible for the GSI (Institutional Security Office).
Bolsonaro is in Brasília at Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil with the transition team. Today, the president-elect should discuss pension reform.
The meeting with the presidents of the Chamber of Deputies, Rodrigo Maia (DEM), and the Senate, Eunício Oliveira (MDB), which would take place in the morning, was cleared.
On the agenda of the day, an audience is scheduled with Minister Rosa Weber, president of the TSE (Superior Electoral Court), at 1:00 p.m.
