President-elect Jair Bolsonaro once again commented on Saturday at Rio de Janeiro the unusual financial move of a former employee of his son’s office, state deputy and senator-elect Flávio Bolsonaro in the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro.
The president-elect affirmed that lawyers from the legislators arrested in Rio de Janeiro have leaked information about the Financial Activities Control Council (Coaf) — watch the video below, posted by Bolsonaro himself in his profiles on Twitter and YouTube.
“Coaf fine comb was done earlier in the year. It was lawyers who leaked it now to try to divert the focus of attention from them to my son,“ he accused.
Report from the newspaper O Estado de S.Paulo reported that there was a turnover of R $1.23 million, between Jan. 1st, 2016, and Jan. 31st, 2017, by Fabrício Queiroz, then an employee of Flávio Bolsonaro.
One of the operations that involve Queiroz and that appears in the report of the Coaf presents a check of $24 thousand destined to the future first lady, Michelle Bolsonaro. The deposits would be, according to Bolsonaro, payment of a loan.
“It was in my wife’s [account], you can consider it in mine. It just was not in mine because of mobility,“ said Bolsonaro. “No one receives or gives dirty money with a nominal check,“ he added, reaffirming that he had received ten checks of R $4,000.
The president-elect stated that he has not yet talked with either his son or Queiroz about the case, but said Flavio is not being investigated and that the Coaf has checked all Alerj employees. He confirmed that he did not declare the Tax Office loan because they were increasing.
