President-elect Jair Bolsonaro predicted a tough government in 2019, four days before his inauguration, but said Brazil has the potential and human mass to meet this challenge.
In a meeting in Rio de Janeiro with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Bolsonaro also said he intends to visit the Jewish state by March next year and said he hopes to build more partnerships with Israel. Netanyahu is in Brazil to follow Bolsonaro’s inauguration on Tuesday.
Bolsonaro and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was meeting at the Copacabana Fort in the southern zone of Rio since the early afternoon of Friday.
Bolsonaro was the first to arrive for the meeting. He left the condominium where he lives with his family, in Barra da Tijuca, and arrived in Copacabana neighborhood at 1:36 pm. Netanyahu left the hotel where he is staying, near the Fort, and arrived at the place at 2:00 p.m.
Before they entered the building of the Armed Forces, they greeted and posed for photographers and cameramen. Inside a room with the flags of the two countries, the two sat side by side, with interpreters assisting in dialogue.
