Dollar Falls and Approaches R $ 3.75 as Optimism With Bolsonaro’s Government Rises

The dollar was droping steeply on Thursday, approaching R$ 3.75 in the session’s low, still under the influence of market optimism with the Jair Bolsonaro government, but following at a distance the greatest risk aversion in the international market.

At 12:08 pm, the dollar fell 1.29 percent selling at R$3.7360, after ending the first session of the year falling 1.71 percent to R$3.8096.

“We will be susceptible to external volatility, but there is room for local assets to continue to show more positive relative performance as long as it is feasible to believe in the economic reforms and the smooth running of the new government,” wrote strategist Dan Kawa, at asset management company TAG Investimentos.
