The government will resume the process of selling Infraero‘s shareholding in airports granted, National Aviation Secretary Ronei Glanzmann said Wednesday during the award ceremony of the Aeroportos + Brasil award.
Infraero holds 49% of the concessions of Guarulhos, Viracopos, Brasilia, Galeao and Confins airports. So far, the Union has contributed close to RS 5 billion in these businesses.
Later this month, Infraero‘s board of directors must approve the hiring of a valuation service of these assets. Disinvestment is expected to occur in about two years, the secretary said.
The participation of Infraero in Viracopos will be analyzed separately since the concessionaire is in the process of judicial recovery. At the same time, the concession is subject to an expiration process by the federal government.
