With the harvest of the current harvest arriving in its final part, the planning of the next one is becoming important, and the IMEA updated the cost of soybean production in MT for the 19/20 crop, for the month of January / 19. With the new data, variable cost (CV) and operating costs (CO) closed at R $ 3,100.19 / ha and R $ 3,445.48 / ha, respectively. Thus, when compared to the last month, it can be observed that the CV presented a decrease of 1.83%, while the CO obtained a reduction of 1.71%.
In general, the fall in the dollar during January generated a decrease in expenses with agricultural, macronutrient, fertilizers, and insecticides. Among the pesticides, the herbicides were the ones that showed the greatest retreat, about 3.87% lower than the previous month. At this point, the focus of the producers is still at the conclusion of the harvest, but as it comes to an end, attention to the next harvest will evolve.
