The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), in partnership with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion (Apex-Brazil) and the Department of Animal Products Inspection of the Ministry of Agriculture , Livestock and Supply (DIPOA / MAP), held throughout this week special training to technicians from producing and exporting agricultural industries of poultry and pigs. The event took place in Sao Paulo (SP).
In all, a hundred participants, including agricultural inspectors and agribusiness technicians of the various producers’ poles of the country attended the event, which aimed to clarify issues and build the harmonization of understanding about the inspection in slaughterhouses.
Among the points raised at the event, were reflections on training system inspection ante and post-mortem poultry and pork, official actions and verification procedures of controls in establishments producing meat poultry and pork, among others.
“There was an introduction to the training system inspection ante and post-mortem poultry and pork, with the goal of building a perfect understanding of the laws by the private sector, harmonizing and setting standards that are reflected in the consumer food safety. In this sense, we seek to enhance the reliability and transparency of all entities of the production chain, whether public or private, that are essential to obtain a safe and reliable product to the consumer, “said the president of ABPA, Francisco Turra.
