Transmission facilities shall enter into commercial operation within 48 to 60 months, as of the execution of the respective concession agreements
On Monday afternoon, President Jair Bolsonaro is commanding the signing ceremony of energy transmission contracts that will generate investments of around R $ 13.2 billion and 28 thousand direct jobs. The Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque, will participate in the event.
Directors of National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) and representatives of the winning companies of the transmission auction held in December last year, sign the concession contracts for the construction of transmission lines in the Planalto Palace. There will be 55, in total, with 7,152 kilometers of extension, and 25 substations with transformation capacity of 14,819 megawatts of power.
The projects are located in Amazonas, Amapa, Espirito Santo, Para, Parana, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Rondonia, Santa Catarina, Sao Paulo and Tocantins.
The transmission facilities must enter into commercial operation within 48 to 60 months, as of the signing of the respective concession agreements, with a duration of 25 years.
The auction had an average discount of 46.08%, so the revenue of the companies that operate the services will be lower than what was foreseen in the announcement. This generated a saving of R $ 986 million per year to the final consumer, according to Aneel.
