Brazilian pork exports (considering all products, including fresh and processed) totaled 58,100 tons in April this year, reports the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA). The volume is 44.3% higher than the 40,200 tons exported in the same period last year.
In revenue, there was an increase of 27.6%, to $119.7 million in the fourth month this year, compared with $93.8 million in April 2018.
In the year (Jan/Apr.) the sector exported 215,700 tons, 10.29% more than the 195,500 tons shipped in the first quarter of the previous year.
In the same period, revenues from exports reached US $418.1 million, 2.2% higher than the balance achieved in the previous year, with US $409.2 million.
