Chicken Meat Exports Grow 34.9% in April

In the year, up is 0.8% compared to the first quarter of 2018

Brazilian exports of chicken meat (considering all products, including fresh and processed) totaled 338,900 tons in April, reports the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA). The number is 34.9% higher than in the same period last year, when they were shipped 251,200 tons.

In revenue, month sales reached US $563.9 million, a result 17.3% higher than the balance held in April 2018, with US $480.5 million.

In four months, exports of poultry meat amounted to 1.278 million tons, 0.8% higher than the performance recorded between January and April last year, to 1.268 million tons.

In revenue, sales of the first four months of 2019 reached US $2.107 billion, 1.1% above the result achieved balance in 2018, with US $2.084 billion.
